Introduction

The deltoid muscle, also known as the delta muscle, is a triangular-shaped muscle that forms the rounded contour of the human shoulder. It is part of the rotator cuff muscle group, which helps to stabilize and rotate the shoulder joint.

Anatomy

The deltoid muscle attaches to three sites on the shoulder girdle: the clavicle, acromion, and spine of the scapula.
