How Did Darth Maul Survive Obi Wan

Darth Maul's Miraculous Survival: From Bisected to Lotho Minor

How Darth Maul Defied Death

Despite being cut in half at the waist by Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, Darth Maul somehow managed to survive. This incredible feat of resilience was made possible by his unyielding hatred for Obi-Wan and his intense desire for revenge. Even as his body was split in two, Maul's spirit burned with the fire of vengeance, fueling his survival.

From Darkness to Lotho Minor

After his defeat on Naboo, Maul was left for dead on the planet Tatooine. However, his hatred kept him clinging to life, and with the help of dark side energy, he managed to crawl into a junk pile. There, he encountered a group of scavengers who took pity on him and helped him construct a crude set of mechanical legs. Maul used these legs to navigate the harsh desert terrain and eventually found his way to Lotho Minor.

Return and Second Demise

Years later, Maul returned to the galaxy in the animated television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Seeking revenge against Obi-Wan, he challenged the Jedi Master to a rematch. This time, however, Maul was defeated once again and was left for dead on the planet Mandalore. But even in defeat, Maul's spirit refused to be extinguished.

Maul eventually found his way back to Lotho Minor, where he spent years training and honing his skills. He became even more powerful in the dark side of the Force and developed a deep hatred for Darth Sidious, who had abandoned him on Naboo. In the end, Maul was killed a second time by his former master, Darth Sidious, in a duel on the Death Star II.
