Cody Rhodes Reflects On His Time With Legacy Alongside Randy Orton

Cody Rhodes reflects on his time with Legacy alongside Randy Orton

The Underrated Faction

The Legacy was a professional wrestling stable in the WWE that existed from 2008 to 2010. The group consisted of Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, and Ted DiBiase Jr. Legacy was managed by Rhodes' father, Dusty Rhodes. The group was formed after Orton turned on his former tag team partner, Triple H, at the 2008 Royal Rumble. Rhodes and DiBiase Jr. then aligned themselves with Orton, and the group began feuding with Triple H and his allies.

Cody's Perspective

Cody Rhodes recently looked back on his time with Legacy in an interview with WWE.com. Rhodes said that he enjoyed his time with the group and that he learned a lot from Orton. "Randy was a great leader," Rhodes said. "He was always willing to help me and Ted, and he always had our backs."

Rhodes also said that he believes that Legacy was an underrated faction. "I think we were one of the best factions in WWE history," Rhodes said. "We had a lot of success, and we were always a threat to win the WWE Championship."

Legacy disbanded in 2010 after Orton turned on Rhodes and DiBiase Jr. at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. Rhodes and DiBiase Jr. then went their separate ways, and Orton continued to wrestle as a singles competitor.
